In addition to the teaser trailer released back in July, Netflix has released the official trailer for The Witcher season 2. In spite of this, it does not necessarily give away much of what is to come in terms of plot (which, honestly, is a good thing in today’s age of trailers that give away everything). Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra) is doing something while Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) takes Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) to Kaer Morhen, where she will be protected and probably learn combat techniques. As seen in Netflix’s official trailer for The Witcher season 2, there is plenty of action and a promise that things will get better after a tumultuous end to the first season.

The Witcher TV series is expected to do gangbusters viewership numbers for Netflix, even with CD Projekt Red putting the new-gen versions of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 over until next year. At the time of its release, The Witcher’s first season was one of the most popular streaming series in the world, likely due to the good entertainment value and Henry Cavill’s superb portrayal of Geralt. When The Witcher season 2 begins on December 17, fans can look forward to even more exciting episodes.
