Honda’s CBR300R is an entry level sport motorcycle that is the upgraded replacement of the CBR250R which was a model that ran from 2011 to 2013. The CBR250R was a direct competitor to the Ninja 250R with both sharing particularly good sales and popularity in many markets.
A recent trend is noticed in the entry level of lower CC motorcycles growing in the engine size and power that commenced with Kawasaki bringing its Ninja 300 to market in 2012 and replacing their Ninja 250R.
In 2021 Honda released a new model which was an updated version of the CBR250R, it had been given a more powerful 286cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine and a new chassis. The CBR300R had the same wheelbase as the 250 model but was slightly wider, this allowed for more rider comfort through improved stability and low speed handling.

The 2021 Honda CBR300R motorcycle is priced at $4599 alongside the Yamaha R25 which retails for just over $4000 and Kawasaki Ninja 300 that starts from around $5700, the 2018 model year also offers an optional ABS braking system as well as traction control with a switchable power output.
