Sakurai stated in the Livestream, “Super Smash Bros” for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U published a ballot asking fans for their votes for new characters in Smash six years ago. Sora was the most requested fighter at the time. According to the game director, Sora is a more accessible character that beginners can play, and this makes it suitable for them.

However, individual expansion characters can be added to the game for $5.99. Sakurai revealed that the Nintendo Switch will soon have remastered versions for “Kingdom Hearts” originally released on other consoles. These games include “Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+ 2.5 ReMix,” “Kingdom Hearts HD I.8 Final Chapter Prologue” and “Kingdom Hearts III.” No release date has been set.
